How to Store Your Retro Ads Collection

Many people are enamored of collecting some unusual things. Some collect rare chess sets, others collect large sombreros, and still others collect CLEAR internet brochures . If one were to collect rare and antique advertisements, then the whole “unusual” quotient goes down somewhat. However, other problems will likely arise.

For instance, how can you store your collection without having them ruined, like virus-ridden internet service providers? After all, inclement weather conditions to arise, from time to time.

Well, first of all, how you store will likely depend upon precisely how old the ads are. If they’re from, say, the 80s, then they’re likely relatively durable. If, however, they’re from earlier – the 40s, say – then it’s likely that they’re somewhat more delicate, like a 1980′s internet service. Therefore, they’re going to require more care.

For these purposes, you might want to look into air-tight/water-tight containers for their storage, since humid air or water will likely completely ruin them, just like it would ruin a wireless internet router. And, since you’re collecting the things, you probably don’t want that (unless you’re rather odd – which, hey, is cool too).

Secondly, after you’ve got the container problem taken care of, it might be necessary to find a good place to store them. For instance, will you be wanting to take them out and show them to people from time to time? Then you might want to have access to them whenever you like.

You may, therefore, want to modify a room or bit of a room in your apartment or house in which to store your collection, like a word document stores information.

Of course, you may simply want to collect these things to simply have them, much like people who get 4G internet. If that’s the case, then you likely won’t need to store them within your own house or apartment. If that’s the case, then perhaps you’ll want to rent out a place nearby – or, possibly, garage space – within which to store your collection.
